 Via Francigena by mountain bike

This evocative 3 or 7-day mountain bike tour follows the recently restored original route of the ancient Via Francigena, a major Medieval pilgrimage way that connected Northern Europe to Rome. Mentioned for the first time in 909 AD by the Archibishop of Canterbury Sigerico (who described his journey back home from Rome to Canterbury), the Tuscan stretch of the Via Francigena passes through Val d’Elsa and Val d’Orcia. We’ll be riding the most scenic part of this route from Castelfiorentino to Ponte a Rigo passing San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Siena, Buonconvento and Montalcino.

A shorter 3-day version from Florence to Siena is also available.

L’Eroica by mountain bike

This 7-day tour follows the long route of L'Eroica, the famous vintage bicycle ride across the white roads of the Senese countryside. It's a very scenic itinerary of 221 km (half offroad), winding through some of the most picturesque roads of Chianti, Val d'Arbia and Val d'Orcia, passing Siena, Montalcino, Buonconvento and Radda. Starting and ending point of this tour is the Medieval village of Gaiole. From there we’ll be cycling across scenic hills covered with vineyards and olive groves in a landscape dotted with hilltop castles, Romanesque parish churches and evocative medieval fortified villages.

 Chianti bike tour

 This 7-day mountain bike tour follows a circular loop itinerary across the scenic hills of Chianti from Florence to Siena and back, passing the famous Medieval town of San Gimignano (the city of the beautiful towers, one of the best preserved in Tuscany), and many other picturesque Medieval hilltop fortified villages, such as Monteriggioni, San Donato in Poggio, Castellina and Panzano.

A shorter 3-day version from Florence to Siena through San Gimignano and Monteriggioni is also available, as well as custom road bike versions.

 Renaissance Ring Trail

This 4-day mountain bike stage tour follows the evocative Renaissance Ring Trail, a circular loop itinerary along the ridge of the scenic hills surrounding Florence. We’ll be mountain biking for more than 200 km. (mostly offroad) in 4 days through woodland, olive groves and vineyards, passing evocative monasteries and sanctuaries, with stunning views over Florence and its hills.

 G.E.A. : The Great Apennine Trail

5650 m. of elevation gain in 211 km. distributed in 7 days of challenging mountain biking over stunning panoramic ridges and through stupendous forested valleys and quite communities.

The wild itinerary of this demanding mountain bike tour follows (for the main part) the established long distance walking route known as G.E.A., (which stands for Grande Escursione Appenninica), with detours specifically studied for mountain bikes.
