Mountain bike ride to the castle of Poggio alle Mura : after a short loop inside the medieval hilltown of Montalcino (famous for its "Brunello" wine) we'll be riding a scenic ridge through the woods before entering the sea of vineyards where the Brunello wine is produced. Biking across the vineyards we'll eventually reach the ancient castle of Poggio alle Mura, now famous with the name of Banfi castle, which was erected, in its current form, in 1438 on a hill near the confluence of the rivers Orcia and Ombrone.
