Scenic mountain bike ride across the highest Chianti hill, Monte San Michele, to the ruins of the Montedomenichi fortress, a site mentioned for the first time in a 10th century document. Now almost completely hidden by the vegetation, this fortress was very important during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance for its strategic position on the road joining Chianti to the Valdarno.
